Colleen Tighe Johnson is a remarkable woman and an extraordinary designer. The Owner, Founder, and Director of  Buluuy Mirrii, meaning ‘Black Star’ in the Gomeroi language, she made a name for herself as a sought after fashion designer before she sold any of her pieces commercially.

A proud Gomeroi woman Colleen grew up in Moree and now resides in Tamworth, Northern NSW. A short list of her achievements includes being featured in international fashion events including Fashion Speaks International World Fusion Wearable Art 2017 in British Columbia Canada, and in the same year she also became the first-ever International Indigenous Designer to open PLITZS New York City Fashion Week.
